I got my first herb yesterday – and I forgot to mention it! The garden is no closer to getting done, but I kind of forced myself to buy the herb. My plan for yesterday night was to try a new crab cake recipe and it called for basil. Amazingly, I could not find basil anywhere (I checked at three different stores!), but I did find a live basil plant among the tomatoes in Harris Teeter. I decided to buy it and even get a pot for it.
It’s a lot bigger than I thought it looked, but I’m excited to have my first herb. Now, I just have to get the garden ready!
